The Fujairah e-Government Department was created by a decree from His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, The Ruler of Fujairah and member of the Supreme Council of the United Arab Emirates.
The Department was mandated to modernize the then existing Information and Communication Technology Infrastructure across all the Government Departments. We now have about 20 departments in the Government Of Fujairah.
These Government Organizations have experienced significant changes in recent years with a highly demanding public for services to be made available over the internet.
Our Strategies Focus Mainly On:
Re-engineering of some of the current business processes
Upgrading of the Information Technology currently in use
Upgrading the design or the replacement of the Information Systems currently in use
Changing the mindset and upgrading the skill-sets of the staff
One of the important roles that we have is to define and assess the impacts Information And Communications Technologies are having on the practice and the necessary steps they should take to develop, Administer and ensure successful implementation of E-Government services to the public at large.
